ABOUT

I am a historian, researcher and writer, and currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Galway. I am working on a project called ‘Salmon Time: A More-than-Human History of the Decline of Atlantic Salmon in Modern Ireland, 1853-1970’.

I did my PhD at the University of Cambridge and was previously a post-doctoral fellow on Imagining Futures Through Un/Archived Pasts at the University of Exeter.

I am a social and environmental historian particularly interested in water, energy, landscapes and archives.

I am also a public historian and I like reading the landscape as an historical text, through devotional objects or buildings.

I previously worked as a digitisation officer at the University of Edinburgh Library and the National Library of Scotland.
